Before you apply REGRANEX Gel, you should rinse the wound gently with water to remove any excess gel or debris.

2. Apply REGRANEX Gel

Wash hands thoroughly before applying REGRANEX Gel. After opening the tube, do not touch the tip of the tube to any surface. Use an application aid such as a cotton swab or tongue depressor to apply the medication. Apply a carefully measured quantity of REGRANEX Gel to cover the wound in a thin layer (see Prescribing Information).

3. Apply a moistened dressing

Place a suitably sized gauze, moistened with water, on the wound. The moistened gauze should cover only the open wound and not come in contact with the skin around the wound.

4. Bandage the wound

A small, dry pad dressing may be placed over the moistened gauze to prevent moisture in socks or shoes. Wrap a soft, dry gauze bandage over the pad to hold it in place and secure it with adhesive tape. Make sure the adhesive is secured to the gauze and not to your skin.
